A guestbook, not a tracker. Everyone here pressed a button to be here, and can be no more precisely placed than an eleven-kilometre square.
Each circle is one ~11 km cell, sized by how many people signed from it. Circles sit at the centre of their cell — never at anybody's address.
Two ways, both entirely up to you. Where am I? asks your browser, which will ask you first. Drop a pin never touches your location at all — you just click the map. Either way the position is rounded to about eleven kilometres in your browser, before anything is sent.
Kept: the rounded cell, whatever name you type, and the two-letter country of your connection. Not kept: your exact position, your IP address, your browser, or any cookie or identifier. The full list is on the about page →
